Generic Introduction

Hi Movie Group One!

I am curious to find out what movie group one is all about. Do you have a favourite colour? Maybe you like writing the letter q, but only lower case? Did you like playing with lego when you were a kid, but then one of your friends stole one of your lego space helmets, of which there were only three, and so your apollo mission was doomed from the start and you're still a little bitter? This is what keeps me up at night. I need to know these things.

I probably saw your faces during class, but I don't actually know which of you are part of my group. This is vital information; we'll need to know each other if we are to conquer the other groups to form a unified super group, which will reign supreme for the rest of the semester, delivering absolute justice to the inhabitants of iWrite.

I think, and I'm only suggesting this course of action, that we could all post some generic introductions, those lame icebreakers they make you do in groups, and when it comes around to you, you can't actually think of anything to say. But this is text, so you have time to think about it without all those eyes watching.

At the risk of being the only person to do this: Hi, I'm Joe/Lane/Ink (take your pick), I'm 20, born in Auckland (of mostly Irish descent with 32nd Maori). I just started a degree in Creative Writing and Psychology. For most of my life I was homeschooled, though I did some correspondence stuff in creative writing. This is actually my first time in an educational institute and so far it's been really fun. I teach Aikido, which I've nearly been doing for seven years. Uh, even in text this is still hard. I like talking and getting to know people, singing and beatboxing without noticing I'm doing it, cooking, reading, writing, music, movies, martial arts, playing the roles of counsellor or teacher sometimes. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I'm pretty okay at writing things and I like people.

As far as fanfiction goes I don't normally write it (there was that one time), but for the last couple of weeks, since I learned of the first iWrite brief, I've been thinking about what I'd like to fanfic about. So far I'm thinking either Transformers or the Joker/Batman. Or both. The image of the Joker leaning out the window of Optimus Prime is pretty groovy.

So, I'll stop raving now. But maybe you would like to tell me a bit about yourself, and maybe a little about what you might be writing.
